Useful Police Information

Childwall is a very low crime area. Crime has decreased significantly since we formed our community links and WhatsApp pages where neighbours can flag up anything they see that’s suspicious and share it with the group.
There has been a lot of research done on this, and areas that act as a community taking care of the environment and each other are much safer and happier. Criminals don’t like areas where things are noticed and neighbours take action, it increases the chances of them being caught significantly, so they usually move to areas where nobody takes any notice.
SCRA does regularly meet with the police and other community organisations, to look at ways our community can keep residents feeling safe and free to enjoy the area with confidence. So feel free to contact us about anything you think we should be passing on, on your behalf

How to Contact the Police

If you need to report an issue that needs an immediate response, contact the police through the 999 route
For other reports use the 911 service.

This often takes some time to be answered so their new online reporting service that has its own dedicated 24 hour monitoring service is often faster and more effective.
