Fancy connecting with nature, other locals and the community?
π‘ Well, some of the Childwall residents thought it might be a nice idea to trial a little CHILDWALL JOY WALK.
βοΈ It does what it says on the tin. We walk. πΆ We talk. π£οΈ We have a positive start to the day, connecting with fellow humans in the community.
π³When? Sunday 5th January 2025
π³Where? Childwall Woods, entrance at the top of Childwall Abbey Road (opposite the shops on Taggart Ave)
π³ Time? Meet from 8.15 am with an 8.30am start.
π³ Who is it for? Absolutely anyone, any age, (children, teens, adults) any fitness levels, from Childwall (or around about too), and well-behaved dogs.
π³ The plan? We have a walk around the woods, having a chit chat if we fancy it, for about 45 minutes/1 hour. Those who want to could go to Zaraβs Hub for breakfast afterwards. It opens at 9 am.
π³ Why bother? Research shows that nature connection and social connection boosts our mental fitness and happiness levels. Also, this will help the community of Childwall and Liverpool, in a simple way, create a little ripple effect, positively impacting those around us. You never know how far a ripple travelsβ¦
π³Weather: wear suitable footwear for mud and puddles, bring waterproofs and wrap up warm. If there are high winds π¨, the walk will be postponed.
π³Who is it organised by? Friends of Childwall Woods and Fields and South Childwall Residents Association under the Childwall All Together Vision.
π³ The future? If it works, weβd like to extend this to a possible regular Childwall Joy Walk.
π³What next? Forward this on to those you know in the area, who might be interested (your WhatsApp groups etc.)
π³Action?Β Just turn up on the day. We will be there to welcome you.
