The course was run by Andy Yates, a photographer from Open Eye Galleries in Liverpool, and Andy, along with Dot Art Gallery secured funding so that this course could be free to members of South Childwall Residents Association and Friends of Childwall Woods and Fields.
The course was called ”The Story of Liverpool Through Its Trees, photography workshops. An opportunity to create a history of Liverpool through its trees, using personal stories and photography with Open Eye Gallery and Dot-Art. Over 3 workshops, you will learn new photography skills, explore local trees, share stories and have conversations about local green spaces.”
It ran during May and was repeated in June 2022
Hope University kindly allocated rooms for the course in their Social Sciences Building at Hope Park, Taggart Ave, and the photographs were taken in Childwall Woods.
