Project Linus – Crochet Group

What is Project Linus?
Project Linus UK is run by a team of volunteer Co-ordinators.  The Area Co-ordinators distribute baby squares and blankets to their local hospitals, children’s hospices, women’s refuges, foster carers, special schools, bereavement services and many other places where support is given to children ‘in need of a hug’.
The baby squares and blankets are made by the members of the local groups like our SCRA crochet group, where members are supported to learn new crocheting skills enabling them to produce beautiful handmade gifts for those going through traumatic times.
For more information visit the website Project Linus UK | Project Linus UK is a volunteer organisation.
To join us for a natter, a cup of tea and to learn or practice new creative skills contact bren at L16scra@gmail.com. We don’t have a regular meeting time but meet whenever we can or need to. We have a WhatsApp group to keep in touch.
If you would like to join us but can’t crochet or knit, come along and we will soon get you started.

We’ve donated so many Blankets and Baby Squares in our first year that we lost count.

Here are some of them.

Thanks to Jan for her endless patience while teaching us new stitches
and
Thanks to Dave and Sarah at the Childwall Abbey Hotel for letting us use the function room with refreshments, free of charge, for our meetings.
